The Deceitful Media

Quoting from Paul Krugman:

...here’s the latest in the “Obama’s health reform will kill people” news: Investor’s Business Daily — which poses as a reputable source of financial information — opines that

People such as scientist Stephen Hawking wouldn’t have a chance in the U.K.,
where the National Health Service would say the life of this brilliant man,
because of his physical handicaps, is essentially worthless.

That would be Stephen Hawking, British professor, who was born in the UK and has lived there for his whole life.

There is no rational debate - just
the usual high school cafeteria
food fight - and well deserved.
Of course people want free money
a free car, a free house, and free
healthcare - of course they dont
pay taxes, but they can call c-span
and demonstrate. But you know very
well that all good cost cutting
companies will dump everyone into
the commons - with the ensuing
'Tragedy of the Commons'. How come
I never see Garret Hardin's article
mentioned any more ?
The fact is that costs go way up
because nobody pays attention to
what comes out of the paycheck, and
hardly anyone knows or cares that
doctors fork over 150 grand for
insurance. (i used to write medical
accounting software)

Who should bear the burden of doctors' mistakes?

I think lifetime healthcare coverage should alleviate some of necessity to sue doctors when those mistakes are made.
